Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi-Vietnam

When I went to Ho Chi Minh ( Saigon),  I was surprised how crowded it was, full of motorbikes, and the humid weather, I could visit the mausoleom of Ho Chi Minh, the History Museum and the Pagoda of the Emperor of Jade.

  1. Been there, done that. (The hecticness of Ho Chi Minh) but for the mausoleum, I unfortunately went on a Sunday and had to wait for more than four hours, so I gave up 😦 Was it worth seeing? I visited the Ho Chi Minh museum instead, and it was pretty good! 🙂

  2. When I was in Hanoi, the HCMM was closed for renovation, but I did go into the museum nearby. I was surprised how polite the English translations of the plaques were; for all the writing about the courage of the Vietnamese soldiers in the wars of liberation, they hardly ever mentioned who they were fighting.
